Govt. and Zomato Sign MoU to Provide Employment.

  • Government of India entered into an MoU with Zomato to post up to 2.5 lakh gig opportunities in a year on the National Career Service (NCS) portal.
  • Zomato will indicate on the portal under a new category Aggregator, flexible positions of delivery partners.
  • The project is expected to institutionalize gig work, which will enable the workers to have a more significant access to the social security systems as well as stability.
  • This is a huge policy change, as platform-based jobs are now accepted as a real form of employment and it encourages people to grow together.
