New Wasp Species Discovered in Rajarhat

Overview

Scientists discovered a new wasp species in Rajarhat, West Bengal. They named it Tetrastichus narayandebnathi after famous cartoonist Narayan Debnath. He created beloved characters like Batul and Nonte-Phonte. This parasitoid wasp attacks tortoise beetle pupae. It is the third such discovery of its kind in the world.

Indian Army's Integrated Battle Groups
