Under PMGKAY-Centre Proposed Reverification of Ineligible Beneficiaries

The Government of India has stepped up to recheck and revise the list of beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana (PMGKAY). This is geared towards, ensuring that free ration benefits are availed to the truly deserving population, and the escalating food subsidy burden is met. Other states such as Rajasthan and Odisha have already deleted the millions of ineligible beneficiaries through a data check and voluntary surrender drive.

SCO Condemns Pahalgam Terror Attack-A Change in Regional Counter-Terror Position

In September 2025, the leaders of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) made a vigorous joint statement denouncing all types of terrorism in their summit in Tianjin. It was also the first time that the statement directly mentioned the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir that resulted in the loss of 26 lives.
