Mission 300 Africa energy summit

The event took the form of the Mission 300 Africa Energy Summit in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

It was organized by the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania, African Union, African Development Bank Group and World Bank Group.

It has studied the goal to give individuals access to electricity in 300 million people within 12 countries of Africa by 2030, called Mission 300.

This occurred in the form of the Africa Energy Mission 300 Summit that was held in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

The African Development Bank Group and World Bank Group, African Union and the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania organized it.

It has researched the objective to provide 300 million individuals of 12 African countries with access to electricity by 2030 known as Mission 300.

WHO on Table Salt Guidelines

 

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), it has issued very clear guidelines of recommending lower-sodium salt substitutes.

WHO had earlier on firmly advised people to limit their intake of sodium to below 2 grams per day.

It is currently advising the substitution of the normal table salt (sodium chloride with lower-sodium salts such as salt substitutes (contained in potassium chloride (KCl)).

This is a prescription on the adult with no references to pregnant women or children.

It does not deal with the people who have kidney failures or individuals who have other cases or experiences that could lead to the impairment of the excretion of the potassium.

Every single year, eight million deaths across the globe are linked with the poor diets and of these it is 1.9 million of the deaths which are as a result of the high consumption of sodium.

Brazil on OPEC+

The government of Brazil agreed to become a member of OPEC+, which is the coalition of significant oil-exporting countries.

Later in 2023, OPEC+ officially welcomed Brazil into the organization.

Brazil is a leading oil producer in South America having a production of about 4.32 million barrels of oil every day.

The U.S. is the world largest producer of almost 22 million barrels per day followed by Saudi Arabia, which is the largest producer in OPEC and produces approximately 11 million barrels per day.
