Fire Ravages Konda Reddi Tribal Settlement in Andhra Pradesh

A devastating fire accident has left dozens of families from the Konda Reddi tribal community homeless after a blaze swept through Sarlanka village in Prathipadu mandal of Andhra Pradesh’s Kakinada district. The incident, which occurred late on the night of January 13, destroyed at least 38 thatched houses. Fortunately, no human casualties or loss of livestock were reported, as most villagers were away attending the weekly shandy ahead of Sankranti festivities.
