India reaches Women’s World Cup final

• India defeated defending champions Australia in a record-breaking semifinal at the DY Patil Stadium, Navi Mumbai. • The International Cricket Council (ICC) has approved Shafali Verma as the replacement for injured Pratika Rawal in India’s squad for the ongoing Women’s World Cup. The decision was confirmed on October 27, following the Event Technical Committee’s approval.

• Delhi carried out its first cloud-seeding trials on Tuesday to tackle severe air pollution. Aircraft from IIT-Kanpur released compounds such as silver iodide and sodium chloride over areas including Burari, Karol Bagh, Mayur Vihar, Bhojpur, and Sadakpur to induce artificial rain.
