India–Norway Green Strategic Partnership: A New Era of Sustainable Cooperation

Agreements Signed During the Oslo Visit

Several important agreements and Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) were signed during the visit.

An important space cooperation agreement was signed between the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and the Norwegian Space Agency.

In addition, nearly 18 business agreements were expected, especially in the energy and green technology sectors.


Norway Joins the Indo-Pacific Oceans Initiative

On 18 May 2026, Norway officially joined India’s Indo-Pacific Oceans Initiative (IPOI), which was launched by India in 2019.

The initiative promotes cooperation in:
