Earthquake in Assam Dima Hasao

 

  • A mild earthquake of magnitude 3.6 struck Dima Hasao district of Assam at 12:40 pm IST on 12 November 2025. The tremor originated at an approximate depth of 30 km, with its epicentre near 25.19°N and 92.92°E. Because the quake occurred at a moderately deep focal level, the shaking experienced on the surface was gentle and short-lived. Initial assessments reported no injuries, structural damage, or disruptions to essential services. Rail operations on the hill section and state highway traffic remained fully normal.
