In 2025 the Gaza Strip is in the grip of catastrophic, man-made famine with its over half a million people at risk of starvation and needless mortality. The crisis is quickly degenerating and spreading in northern Gaza to central and southern governorate.

In a separate initiative, the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is currently designing what would be the most powerful rocket to date the Lunar Module Launch Vehicle (LMLV). This review is taking place at a time when turbulent government cash balances and an uncertain foreign currency forecast have challenged RBI to control systemic liquidity that is vital in relaying policy rate transitions to the rest of the economy.

It is a major diplomatic development that India has been elected as the Chairman of the Executive Board of the Asia-Pacific Institute for Broadcasting Development (AIBD). The election took place at the 23rd AIBD General Conference in Phuket, Thailand where India got the highest votes, and will have returned to this leadership position after almost a decade. This triumph affirms India position in the future of broadcasting in the Asia-Pacific region, and reaffirms the rising status of India in international media regulation.

In the Persian Gulf and the northern part of the Indian Ocean, Iran has carried out a large naval exercise, the Sustainable Power 1404. This two-day exercise is the largest military exercise conducted by the country, since its June 2025 conflict with Israel and is widely viewed as the act to restore military image of the country after that confrontation.
