First Phreatobitic Fish from Northeast India Identified in Scientific Breakthrough
Researchers have identified a new genus and species of subterranean fish, Gitchak nakana, from a dug-out well in western Assam, marking the first aquifer-dwelling (phreatobitic) fish recorded in Northeast India.
