Government Programme & Policy.

  • It now has its Viksit Bharat Strategy Room at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA) in partnership with NITI Aayog.

  • The initial Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference was launched at Mehsana, in order to decentralize the success of the global summit of all state regions.
  • In an attempt to intensify the effort of conservation of the species, India introduced its National RedList Roadmap during the IUCN World Conservation Congress in Abu Dhabi.
  • Under the RBI Kehta Hai initiative, the RBI is carrying out awareness campaigns among the people through various media.

Economy, Banking & Finance

  • The Prime Minister launched the Global Fintech Fest 2025 in Mumbai, where the UK Prime Minister was one of the most notable representatives.

  • To facilitate easier digital transactions, the RBI introduced a pilot about the connection between the FX-Retail platform and the Bharat Bill Payment System (Bharat Connect).
  • RBI released initial guidelines that were to be reviewed by the public on credit risk capital charges and norms of classifying the assets.
  • The RBI broadened the scope of the Reserve Bank -Integrated Ombudsman Scheme (RB-IOS), 2021.
  • The American express bank of India was fined by 31.80 lakh monetary penalties as a result of failing to follow card regulations.
  • Magnum Hybrid Long Short Fund is the first fund to be introduced by SBI Mutual Fund in the Specialized Investment Fund (SIF) framework.
  • The RBI gave the go-ahead to Authorised Dealer banks to increase the use of Special Rupee Vostro Accounts (SRVAs).

International Relations/International Agreements.

  • The United Kingdom prime minister, Keir Starmer, made an official visit to India and signed a Joint Statement with India.

  • On his visit to Canberra, India and Australia signed the key defence agreements.
  • The first stage of a Gaza ceasefire was reached between Israel and Hamas, which was reported by the US.

Defence & Security

  • Indian Army also embarked on the acquisition of the locally made SAKSHAM Counter-Drone grid with real time drone neutralisation capabilities.

  • Despite trade strains, India and the US are maintaining close military partnership including frequent joint military exercises.

Science & Technology

  • Ola Electric was certified by the government to its indigenously-developed rare-earth-free ferrite motor, the first time in the two-wheeler EV industry in India.

  • Space startup Agnikul Cosmos declared that the rockets would be completely reusable to provide competitive services of launching satellites.

Awards & Recognition

  • Maria Corina Machado is a Venezuelan politician and activist who won the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize due to her work on democracy and human rights protection.
