CTET 2025  Educational 

Paper Classes Eligible to Teach Educational Qualification
Paper I Classes I – V Candidates must have passed Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and completed or be in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) or Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
Paper II Classes VI – VIII Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree and have completed or be in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education or a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) program with at least 50% marks.

CTET 2025 Exam Pattern

 

Paper I (For Classes I–V) and Paper II (For Classes VI–VIII) will include questions from the following subjects:

  • Paper I: Child Development & Pedagogy, Language I, Language II, Mathematics, and Environmental Studies.

  • Paper II: Child Development & Pedagogy, Language I, Language II, Mathematics & Science (for Science teachers), or Social Studies/Social Science (for Social Studies teachers).

Each paper carries 150 marks, and there is no negative marking for incorrect answers.


 

CTET 2025 Selection Process

 

The CTET selection process consists of two papers:

  • Paper I: For candidates aspiring to teach Classes I–V.

  • Paper II: For candidates aiming to teach Classes VI–VIII.

Each paper includes 150 multiple-choice questions (MCQs). Candidates can choose to appear for either one or both papers. To qualify, general category candidates must score 60% (90 out of 150 marks), while reserved category candidates (SC/ST/OBC) need 55% (82 marks). Qualified candidates receive a CTET eligibility certificate, which is valid for a lifetime.

CTET 2025 Syllabus

 

  • The CTET syllabus is based on the National Curriculum Framework (NCF) 2005 and the Right to Education Act (RTE) 2009. Candidates must understand the syllabus and exam pattern thoroughly to prepare effectively. The focus areas include child pedagogy, teaching methodologies, and subject-specific pedagogy.
